Jim Fothergill has seen The Yardbirds 1 time.

Formed in London in May 1963, The Yardbirds is considered one of the most influential rock bands of the early 20th century. The band is credited with influencing psychedelic rock, hard rock, punk rock, and even heavy metal. It also helped catapult the careers of three of the greatest guitarists of all time: Eric Clapton, who played with the band between October 1963 and March 13, 1963; Jeff Beck who replaced Clapton; and Jimmy Page who originally joined Beck as a dual guitarist until November 1966 when Beck left the band. Page remained with The Yardbirds until it broke up in July 1968. He then went on to form Led Zeppelin. In 1992, The Yardbirds reunited with a new line-up. The only two original members to return were Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty. Both remained with The Yardbirds until 2012 when Dreja retired from the band. The band continues performing, albeit with a regularly shifting lineup of members. McCarty remains the only original member.
