Tom Verlaine's 1988 Concert History

Tom Verlaine (December 13, 1949 – January 28, 2023) was a punk musician. In the early 1970s, Verlaine and Richard Hell co-founded The Neon Boys. On March 11, 1973, the Neon Boys broke up, but the next day reformed as Television. When Television disbanded in 1978, Verlaine embraced a successful solo career, releasing seven studio albums between 1979 and 1992. In 1992, Television reformed and released its third and final studio album. Over the next three decades, Verlaine continued touring with the band. In 2006, he released his final solo album "Songs and Other Things." He passed away at the age of 73 on January 28, 2023. Throughout his life, he also collaborated with many other musicians, including his one-time romantic partner and fellow New York punk legend Patti Smith.
