Tom Verlaine (December 13, 1949 – January 28, 2023) was a punk musician. In the early 1970s, Verlaine and Richard Hell co-founded The Neon Boys. On March 11, 1973, the Neon Boys broke up, but the next day reformed as Television. In 1992, Television reformed and released its third and final studio album. Over the next three decades, Verlaine continued touring with the band. In 2006, he released his final solo album "Songs and Other Things." He passed away at the age of 73 on January 28, 2023.
