A native of Philadelphia, bassist Josh Abrams conceals his free jazz efforts in a broader, often times minimalist swing style of upright bass play. In Philadelphia Abrams collaborated with organic rap pioneers The Roots and was highly regarded by Tariq Trotter and company.
