Chris Mellor, Seamus Mulready and their friends from in and around the Ottawa, Ontario, area formed Huntley Slim & the Suburban Cowboys in the mid-2000s. They released their first EP in 2007 entitled Sherway Sessions. Their first official album Songs From This Chicken Coop was released in August 2009.
