Raised in a small fishing community on the east coast of Newfoundland, Canada, Ashley Fayth was singing before she could walk, and taught herself to play the guitar at the age of seven. She grew up listening mostly to traditional folk music, her parents’ collection of new country chart toppers, and not much else.
