When the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena was being designed, it was called the "Broome County Cultural Center." However, after construction was completed in 1973, the venue became the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. In 2014, the name changed to the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena. In 2020, Visions Federal Credit Unit took over naming rights from the Maines Family and renamed the venue the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena on January 1, 2021.
