Jazz at Lincoln Center began as a jazz concert series and jazz division in 1987 at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. In 2004, the organization opened a building within the LIncoln Center complex at the corner of Broadway and west 60th street in Manhattan. There are three venues within Jazz at Lincoln Center: Rose Hall, Appel Room (formerly called Allen Room), and Dizzy's Club.
