My first time attending a show at the Gibson Community Music Hall. It's a nice venue with great sound. This is their 3rd time playing in Appleton and every concert has been exceptional! This time around they were featuring songs from their new LP titled 'One Of A Kind'. By my count they played 10 out 12 songs that make up the album. They also included another 3 or 4 from their previous record, 'Life and Life Only'. Opening act was Dylan LeBlanc who performed his set solo on acoustic guitar.

Had tickets for the Stills/Young Band concert in the summer of 1976, but the tour was cancelled before it made the scheduled visit to Wisconsin. A few months later it was announced that Neil Young would play Dane County Coliseum. This was my first time to see Neil with Crazy Horse and they did not disappoint! The 20 song set list included classics, unreleased (at the time) songs and 3 songs from their most recent LP called Zuma.

Saw Neil Young a few weeks before this concert. He did not play the songs Alabama or Southern Man. But when Lynyrd Skynyrd Sang Sweet Home Alabama at this show it pot a smile on my face. Only because I had just enjoyed a great concert that Neil Young & Crazy Horse put on in Madison, Wi a few weeks before, Lynyrd Skynyrd put on a fantastic show for their fans in Wisconsin. They rocked Milwaukee from start to finish. It was my first concert experience that featured a band playing "Southern Rock". They were the real thing and I was thrilled to see them at the peak of their powers!
