Biru Baby regnes som en del av Sápmi-bølgen, hvor artister finner tilbake til røttene sine i det flerkulturelle nord. I motsetning til mange andre samiske artister, kan man imidlertid ikke kalle Biru Baby for høykultur. Dette er realisme fra den skitneste avkrok i Finnmark et eller annet sted mellom Nordpolen og sivilisasjonen. Debuten «Slutt Slut» (2014) med tilhørende musikkvideo, og påfølgende utgivelser som «Fuck My Heart» og «Heålålelå» (2014) tørker støvet av tabuer og gamle konflikter.
