Pope Joanna is the solo voice/electronics project of Clarisse Ducasse. I was born in Kansas City, MO in 1978 and moved to Spain when I was five. My father and I moved back to the United States in 1997. I enrolled at Norte Dame University in 2000 in a Humanities B.A. program, and currently hope to earn my Ph.D. in Linguistics by 2009. Pope Joanna is a facet of my personality-a facet fascinated with religion and religious mysticism.
