Captain Amazing is based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. In cartoon terms, the band plays a unique blend of Psychedelic Drunk Folk Rock, punctuated by the odd blast of a show tune or a ska bridge. The two main song writers Gentleman Josh (Josh Rhodes) and The Good David (David Adams) seamlessly trade off lead and backing vocal, and frequently instruments. With songs like "Love Took a Shit," "King of Hornets" and "World War Baby" they explore the wide range of emotions all the way from drunken rage to sobering melancholia.
