SouthDown is an alternative rock band based out of the New Orleans area whose sound is an amalgamation of grunge, heavy metal, and pop. The group has touched upon a variety of themes in their songs including spirituality, friendship, heartbreak, substance abuse, and even run-ins with the law. In support of their debut EP, I Found My Soul (2009), SouthDown released the anthemic title track as a promotional single, followed shortly by the tributary sing-along "Joey.
