Velvet Jones is re-releasing their debut album ’Colin’, a record that almost set them on the path to seminal status in the 90’s UK Indie scene. This largely undiscovered gem undoubtedly would have been one of the breakthrough records of 1998, but was cruelly stopped in its tracks by a badly managed record company. The hype surrounding Velvet Jones at the time was massive as they were frequently lauded by industry heads as potential successors to high priests such as Suede, Radiohead, Placebo and Subcircus.
