Rich Homie Quan (born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, October 4, 1989 – September 5, 2024) was an Atlanta-based rapper who rose to fame in the early 2010s. Between 2012 and 2014, he released a series of mixtapes, both as a solo artist and a member of the hip-hop collective Rich Gang. This included the highly acclaimed "Tha Tour Part 1" (2014). His 2013 single "Type of Way" was his first to chart. In 2015, he released his highest charting single, "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)." It peaked at 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. Three years later, he dropped his debut studio album "Rich as in Spirit." He passed away on September 5, 2024. He was 34 years old.
