New Old is a Latvian punk rock band that consists of former schoolmates Reinis Straume (guitar, vocal), Guntis Nurža (vocal), Dairis Petrauskis (drums & percussion), Dāvis Puķe (bass) and Sergejs Fomins (lead-guitar). They call themselves ‘the band with a romantic with a pen, rocker on guitar, bluesman on the bass, funker on the skins and a 14-year-old girl sex symbol on the microphone’. The band formed back in 2004, because band members wanted to be ‘rich and famous like Good Charlotte’.
