She has been awarded “Best Vocal Jazz Album of 2005” and "Best New Jazz Artist of 2004" by HMV/Japan, sharing their annual awards with other renowned artists such as Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Jane Monheit and Joshua Redman. The Nearness of You, her debut CD released in 2004 for the U.S. and Japan, ranked #2 on HMV’s Jazz Charts in Japan, second only to Norah Jones, and remained in the TOP 10 for over three months.
