Slimmy's first album fuses your local underage rave night with some seriously decent rock riffing and enough pop hooks to keep even your most poptastic listener happy. It is an extraordinary album that is difficult to place yet immediately familiar. Beatsound Loverboy deserves its place in 2008 as pop and rock's freshest sound.
