Julian Neilson has seen The Jesus and Mary Chain 1 time.

In 1983, brothers Jim and William Reed formed The Jesus and Mary Chain in Scottland. Struggling to book gigs or gain any attention from promoters, the brothers moved to London. There, the band quickly gained a reputation as the "new Sex Pistols" due to their controversial performances in which band members often refused to face their audience. 1985 saw the release of the band's debut album "Psychocandy," which is now critically acclaimed as a helping to pioneer noise pop, shoegaze, and post-punk genres. The Jesus and Mary Chain released five more albums before disbanding in 1999. The band reunited in April 2007 to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. "Damage and Joy," the band's sixth studio album dropped on March 24, 2017.
