Rarechild formed in Brooklyn, NY, in 2011. The band is comprised by Michael Friedrich, Chris Bordeaux, and Tim McCoy. The members, who have worked and lived together since childhood in New York's affluent Hamptons, share a devilish intimacy that fuels their composition process. Their music is a bizarre take on electronic pop, blending heavy drum machines and clattery percussion with fractured voices and synthesizers. They are releasing a song for each month of 2012 via Dimension Arts.
