Velvet Belly's history dates back to Kristiansand in 1989, a period when the three gentlemen Leh, Aanesen and Rasmussen were searching for a female voice to accompany their little combo. This appeared in the magnificent voice of Anne Marie Almedal, who paradoxically proved to be the right one they were looking for, by not sounding like the vocal references they had imagined.
