This was the Nightrider tour, in my opinion the best tour by the band - the album is listwd as country but those twin Les Paul’s cranked out some of the best blues I ever saw. Birmingham Blues and Funky Junky and from the previous release NYC Kinsize Rosewood Bed and i’ll never forget the 15 minute jam on Franklin Limestone! This period was more blusey with some country mixed in.

This was an amazing show - venue holds about 4k maybe 5k packed. 38 special was a brand new band and played their whole 1st release “self titled” I remember Donnie Van Zant tossing beers into the crowd during the set… Skynyd tore the roof off the place. Sound system was crankin’ They basically played the whole “One more from the road” release. 3months later: 😪😭😢😪
