As a 10 year old, I remember this concert very well. It was LOUD. This was NOT the Machine Head tour. It was the Made In Japan tour. I also remember almost getting crushed as we, my big brother and I, were on the floor(good ole general admission first come first serve) and got pushed where we were really close to the stage. There was a fight near us and someone sprayed mace....not good. I remember how good Ritchie Blackmore was. They only did about 9 or 10 songs but with the exception of Highway Star, all of there songs were really long. Child in Time guitar solo was so good. During Space Truckin some guy was banging his head on the stage and Jon Lord bent down to ask if he was okay and the guy said something like "far out." I know this because I read and interview in Cream magazine where Lord described this. By the way, Fleetwood Mac opened for DP. The only thing I remember about them was their use of different drums, including a bongo.

Uriah Heep never showed up. Humble Pie did a killer set doing I Don't Need No Doctor, Hot N' Nasty and Uriah Heep was supposed to be next and we had to wait what seemed like an hour or two but I was only 10 years old. Alice Cooper was great, I especially remember Dead Babies, Under My Wheels and Schools out. My older brother took me. I'm very fortunate in that sense.
