The opening act was The Ramones. I was not there but this show was talked about for years. People were throwing things at The Ramones, I'm not sure if they even finished their set.

This Old Man is correct. This was my first concert, and The Knack opened. I recall there being signs posted outside saying the replacement band was "LA's hottest club band." Also it was said somewhere that Sammy Hagar, since he was a local boy (from Fontana) that he should be a headliner. This was four months before My Sharona was released.
