Tommy Giles Rogers, Jr. started his musical career in 1999 in Charlotte, NC as a guitarist for the metalcore band Prayer for Cleansing. When the band broke up in 2000, Rogers and guitarist Paul Waggoner co-founded the progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me.
