Robin Zander (born January 23, 1953) is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Cheap Trick. Zander had been offered the lead singing job for the band by Bun E. Carlos, but was under contract with Wisconsin Dells at the time. When the contract expired, Zander joined the band as lead singer. In 1983, Zander wrote his first solo writing contribution with "I Can't Take It" (I Can't Take It), and also performed a solo concert. Zander released a self-titled album in 1993 that did not chart well.
