Wow! What an amazing show! We spent the pile of dough and stood in Pit A and I will never, ever regret it. The guys were right there, up close and personal. Mick Jagger is truly immortal. I guess he will be 81 next month and he was all over the stage like a 35-40 year old. I couldn’t even get a good photo of him because he was never still long enough. His voice is great. It’s not what it was 40 or 50 years ago, but it has held up better than bands I have seen that have only been out 15 or 20 years. The dude has taken care of himself. It shows and it allows him to put on an excellent show. I would recommend this to everyone. Of course, they played every song you know that you could think of and could have kept going for hours. The show lasted a little over two hours with very little chatter, all music. Bettye LaVette played for probably another 40 minutes or so before the Stones, with a relatively quick stage change. Bettye LaVette was excellent. She’s an old blues/soul singer that I was unfamiliar with, but she was very good with a strong voice and stage presence.
This was a great night! I hope I get the opportunity to see them again.
