At the age of 17, Zach Bryan joined the United States Navy. During his free time, however, he was writing songs and recording his performances on YouTube. In 2019, he went viral for the first time with his song "Heading South." Not long after, he released his debut studio album "DeAnn." It was followed by "Elisabeth" in early 2020. "Elisabeth" peaked at 192 on the US Billboard 200 and helped Bryan begin drawing attention from the country music industry. On April 10, 2021, he performed at the Grand Ole Opry and not long after was signed by Warner Records.
