Joost (born Joost Klein, November 10, 1997, in Leeuwarden, Netherlands) is a rapper and singer who first gained a following for his sketches, mini-documentaries, and other content posted to YouTube. He released his first EP "Dakloos" in 2016. The music video for the lead single "Bitches" reached over a million views. His debut mixtape "Scandinavian Boy" (2017) charted in both the Netherlands and Belgium while his debut studio album "Abino" (2019) became a top ten hit in the Netherlands and Lithuania. Until 2022, his singles only charted in Lithuania, but in 2023, "Freisenjung" (w/ Ski Aggu and Otto Waalkes) became a number-one hit in Austria and Germany while also charting in the Netherlands, Latvia, Sweden, and Switzerland. In 2024, he competed in Eurovision but was disqualified shortly before the final. His single "Europapa," also released that year, became his first single to chart in the US, reaching 51 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
