The Angel Babies were formed in early 2011. Frankie & Calida were hanging out one night at a rough Karaoke bar in New Mexico when suddenly a ex-con/pachuco took the stage and blew them away with his kitschy performance of Billy Jean. The ganster/crooner became violent when he insisted the classic song "Angel Baby" was cued up for his next number. Unfortunatley he was arrested. Inspired by this bizzare experience, the duo decided it they wanted to make music together as The Angel Babies.
