Great show. They rehearsed this tour at an airplane hanger at the Toronto airport so this was the first show of the tour. A friend of mine from Britain had replaced Roger waters on bass, so he gave me some tickets to the show. His name is Guy Pratt.

I went to this show to see the Ramones and Johnny Winter. I was only 18 at the time but I had already seen the Ramones in 1976 and I was a huge fan. I was also a big Johnny Winters fan. The rest I couldn't care much about, especially Nugent. So when the Ramones came on I was up and cheering. Meanwhile every other rocker at the festival just aimed hatred at the Ramones and the crowd booed them and pelted them with garbage. The Ramones finally flipped them all the bird and walked off in disgust. It was a mass example of how I was treated at parties during this time when I would try to get my punk rock records played. So, the playlist here is really not correct. I figured the Ramones got through 5 songs tops, maybe 6 before they were booed off the stage.

I'm not a fan of any of these bands but I was at this show. The Eagles brought R2D2 out on stage during the band's encore.

I attended this concert and there may have been another act in addition to this one but I do clearly remember that Phil Collins' jazz fusion band Brand X opened for Genesis
