Esham (born Esham Attica Smith, September 20, 1973, in Long Island, New York) is a seminal rapper and key influencer in the development of the horrorcore genre, though he describes his music style as "acid rap." His journey began with his 1989 debut album "Boomin' Words from Hell," which introduced his innovative, dark themes to the rap scene. In 1991, he pushed boundaries further with the album "Homey Don't Play," featuring the standout track of the same name. He continued to defy mainstream conventions with his 1996 album "Dead Flowerz," which is widely regarded as a turning point in his artistic evolution while his 2008 album "Sacrificial Lambz" demonstrated his staying power in the music industry. The following year, he took his provocative style a notch higher with the release of the EP and song "I Ain't Cha Homey." In 2023, he joined Violent J and Ouija Macc, releasing the album "OBLITERATION" as part of a new trio called the "3 Headed Monster."
