Liam Payne (born Liam James Payne, August 19, 1993 – October 16, 2024), was a singer-songwriter from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. He is most famously known as a member of the five-piece boy band One Direction, active between 2010 and 2016. After the band went on hiatus, Payne continued as a solo artist, releasing his debut studio album "LP1" in 2019. A second studio album was planned, but he died before it could be released. On October 16, 2024, he fell from a third-story hotel window in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31 years old.
