Kevin Martin and Justin Broadrick worked together as Techno Animal from the early 90s to mid-00s, creating a very inventive and punishing twist on industrial music, blending dub, breakbeat and hiphop together. Zonal is the next chapter of their collaboration, taking their sounds further. They released a small run CDr called The Quatermass Project as one of the first two Avalanche Recordings releases in 2000. This was the first of a scheduled multi-part set of releases. Nothing else was ever issued.
