The Z.D.V. sound is the sound of San Francisco, future past and present. Described as "cactus flower romanticism" and "junk rock", dark like the cold bawdy barberry waterfront, yet vibrant and colorful like Dolores Park summers. They started as an acoustic three piece, then adding members to create their own brand of dirty-country blues-goth-psych-rock n roll. Playing and headlining S.F.'s top (and bottom) clubs, radio stations, art galleries, warehouses, and appearing on local bay area television as well as touring the western U.
