Although their name might evoke images of a 1930’s circus act, Woody and Paul is actually a twenty first century four man band. They effortlessly merge the authentic sound of Alan Lomax with a bit of rock ‘n roll and a dose of creaking and squeaking blues into well rounded songs that stand their own ground. The new album, titled Heroes and Zeros, has just been released and features eleven present-day protest songs inspired by the sound of 60’s nuggets, 50’s rock ‘n’ roll and silence. At once cool, fresh and honest.
These are photos from concerts where Woody & Paul played, so they may be of other bands that played the concert as well.
