In various rooms, in various places, in various countries, Adam Sturgeon and Kirsten Palm hibernated. Unaware of each other’s existence, they kept themselves warm and nourished by writing music, either by themselves (Water St. Projects) or with others (Innes Wilson and his Opposition, Elbow Beach Surf Club). One day, in the city of Guelph, Ontario, Adam and Kirsten found themselves in the same room laughing at each other like idiots. From there they quickly became entangled in each other’s music and other hibernation secrets.
