WE CAN'T ENJOY OURSELVES play jaunty, jangley post-Thatcherite Pop music. They are so new, so fledgling that their bio could fit very nicely on a gravestone. Members Caley Monahon-Ward (drums), Christ Van Voorst Van Beast (bass), and Giovanni Saldarriaga (voice/writer) don't play dreamy or hazy pop music even though they enjoy those kinds of things enormously. Their music is definitely danceable but more like the Kinks and Supremes raised on a diet of marxism and dirty french novels than disco done by deadening dud.
