Velvet Black is a one man project with a unique dark synthetic sound and countless musical influences. Ivan Buenrostro has always had a profound passion for music: he discovered Kraftwerk while in elementary school and spent many hours listening to the cure and depeche mode in his junior high years. When he reached high school he discovered Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Gravity Kills and Chemlab. After graduating he started going to raves and collecting electronic and trance music.
