Formerly known as LightLikeHope, Veldarose was born in late 2008. Brought together by college and a love of music, the five original band members (Bryan Willsey, Van Santos, Ben Harrington, Nick Culbreath, and former member Hunter Sims) began to write music and perform around Jackson, Tennessee. In the spring, word was received that Hunter would not be returning to the band, and the search of another member to fill the void began.
