Valor Bound started in Boone, NC when they were students at Appalachian State. The band started off under the name The Influence and went on to come in 2nd place in The Zippo Hot Tour Battle of the Bands in 2006. (First place went on tour with Papa Roach.) After some time playing and some copywriting issues, the band was forced to change it's name to Valor Bound. It basically means "with honor."
