Trip Audrey has been in Seattle since 2001. Formed by Josh Lanza and Jim Januszewski (first as Noisy Midas, then the Light Brigade), their early influences were the likes of Guided By Voices, Pavement and the Beatles. Over time they refined their sound, performance, and settled on their current name. Their sound has been described as "a cross between Son Volt and Green Day," reminiscent of the Mountain Goats, or "the Weakerthans and a band to be named later.
