Emerging from the mess that was "Three Days 'Til Sunday", "Track Royalty" formed when 3DTS members Trent (guitar) and Max (drums) discovered Ciaran (vocals) and instantly made him the newest member. Agreeing that their new sound wasn't like that of 3DTS, the band decided on "Track Royalty" as their new name. After agreeing on the name, all the band needed was a bassit. After failed stints with several bass players, Ciaran and Trent recruited Christian to the band.
