Tom Richardson has also just been identified as one of the country's most promising emerging artists, noted as a finalist in the greatest number of categories at the Australian Blues Music Awards (Song of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Best New Talent, Duo/Group of the Year). In 2009, Tom was short listed for the Australian Songwriting Competition, Vanda and Young Songwriting Contest and the APRA Professional Development Awards, from a field of over 700 applicants.
