Todd is New Each Moment was born when Thomas Wilk moved to New York City from Albany, NY, on New Year’s Day in 2009. From Brooklyn he and Bryan Hamill, his long-distance musical partner in Albany, began experimenting with different types of electronic and synthesizer-based pop music. Their early tunes lurked somewhere between baroque Wendy Carlos melodies, Scott Walker dirges, and other shinier synthpop tendencies, more akin to Devo and the Talking Heads.
