Tigers and Monkeys is a new band from New York City fronted by songwriter and guitarist Shonali Bhowmik. Taking cues from the cities in which she has slept, drank, studied and done her laundry in including Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta and New York, Shonali creates a potent blend of rock, blues, soul, garage and country with the fervor of an honest woman with more than a few things to say. A foot stomping gal, Shonali's music is inspired by classic bands such as the Beatles, Big Star, Earth, Wind, and Fire and The Pixies.
