There are several bands with the artist name "The Uglies". One of them is the punk rock band from Waarschoot with lead singer Peter Van De Veire, a well known radio and television host in Flanders (Belgium). With Landuyt (drums), Gevaert (bass) and Lootens (guitar), the group was founded in the summer of 1989. They had some local hits and gave a last live performance in september 2003 at Rock Waarschoot.
