Even though they hail from Vancouver, The Top Boost capture the California Sound so authentically you’ll have visions of swaying palm trees, crashing waves, and sunny beaches. They remind me of The Thrills and it’s also notable that power-pop luminary Roger Joseph Manning Jr. from Jellyfish/Imperial Drag/The Lickerish Quartet lends a hand on the title track of their new EP “Dreaming”. They combine catchy melodies and vocal harmonies informed by classic ’60s groups like The Beatles, The Byrds and The Zombies.
