The Telefones Concert History

The Telefones formed in 1979. They were the first New Wave band from Dallas, Texas. A few of the members actually played with the name E=MC2 for a few gigs. Their first single, The Ballad of Jerry Godzilla, was released in May of 1980. The original members consisted of Jerry Dirkx (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Chris Dirkx (Drums), Steve Dirkx (Bass) and Will Clay (Saxophone, Synthesizer). After their first LP, Vibration Change, Mark Griffin replaced Clay. Their second and final full length album Rock-Ola was released in mid 1981.
