Formed in Los Angeles, California, United States, around 1963, The Rumors' only release was a single for Gemcor Records in July of 1965: Hold Me Now, a tune that showcases a blend of Vox organ, shouted lead vocals and fast-pickin', surf-tinged guitar. The song was composed by singer/organist, Ben Turner, and drummer, Norman Prinsky. Gemcor Records went out of business almost immediately after the single's release. It never took off. By the end of 1965 The Rumors had split up.
